PROCEEDINGS
February 11, 2026
There was a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Water District No. 2 at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the Hackberry Waterworks Office, 1190 Main St., Hackberry, LA.
PRESENT: Mr. Mark Trahan, Mr. Brad Hinton, Mr. Donald Buford, Mr. Mike Welch, Mr. Jeff Moore
Employees present: Mr. Glenn Welch, Mrs. Becky Gray, and Mrs. Shaun Kyle
SPECIAL GUESTS: Justin Jordan – K&M Engineering
The meeting was called to order by Board President Mark Trahan who also led the pledge and prayer.
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comments were made.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and carried unanimously, the minutes from the January 14, 2026 meeting were approved.
Justin presented the Board with updates on the ground storage tank project and awning for the office building.
On motion of Donald Buford, seconded by Brad Hinton and carried unanimously, the Board elected to accept the lower height design drawings for the awning and proceed with the project.
The Board decided to not upgrade the billing software at this time.
Monthly Operator updates were presented by Glenn Welch and Becky Gray. Wellsite #4 property is ready for the culvert installation so a driveway can be constructed. Devall Deisel has serviced and load tested all the generators.
The monthly updates and financial reports including the Actual vs Budget Report for the month ending January 30, 2026 were presented by Shaun Kyle.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and carried unanimously, the financial reports were accepted and all bills were approved for payment.
Our next meeting will be Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
There being no further business, on motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and carried unanimously, the meeting was declared adjourned.
