The Cameron Parish Wastewater District No. 1 Board met in regular session on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 4:00 P.M. in the Wastewater District office located at 126 Ann Street in the town of Cameron, Louisiana.

The meeting was called to order by the President along with roll call. The voluntary Prayer was led by Tammy Vincent. The Pledge was led by Tammy Vincent.
Roll Call: Present: Ruben Doxey, Vickie Conner, Mary Jones, Tammy Vincent and Anthony Theriot.

There were no public comments.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Mary Jones and carried, to adopt the agenda for February 24, 2026, Wastewater board meeting.
On a motion by Mary Jones, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, to approve and dispense from reading the regular session January minutes.
On a motion by Mary Jones, seconded by Ruben Doxey and carried, to approve the financial statement, including the Actual vs Budget, for the month of January 2026.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Mary Jones and carried, to pay the monthly bills.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Ruben Doxey and carried, to auction the 2007 Generac generator for the minimum bid of $1500.00.
The adoption of the resolution and the introduction of ordinance declaring certain surplus movable property of the Cameron Parish Wastewater District #1 DBA Cameron Parish Water & Wastewater District #1 hereinafter referred to as CPW#1 and providing for the disposal thereof. Motion was made by Vickie Conner, seconded by Ruben Doxey and carried, that the following ordinance be introduced: An ordinance declaring certain surplus movable property of the CPW#1 to be sold as is and/or providing for the disposal thereof one (1) 2007 Generac generator. The CPW#1 has determined the surplus movable property is no longer needed for a public purpose. Motion was then made by Vickie Conner, seconded by Ruben Doxey and carried that the said ordinance be filed and remain on file with the CPW#1, in final form, and that the President of the board is hereby authorized and instructed to publish the Public Notice of Introduction of the above proposed ordinance in the ‘Cameron Pilot’, the official news journal of CPW#1, and that the said Notice of Introduction of the above ordinances is substantially in the following form: Public Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the CPW#1 the following ordinance: An Ordinance declaring certain surplus movable property of the CPW#1 and providing for the disposal thereof one (1) 2007 Generac generator. A public hearing on said ordinance was held at 4:00 P.M. on the 24th day of February in the CPW#1 office in Cameron Louisiana.
Lisa Benoit presented the 2025 Municipal Wastewater Planning Program (MWPP) Annual Report for the town of Cameron wastewater treatment facility and collection system. The Board reviewed the report and noted that no further actions are necessary to maintain compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. A motion was made by Vickie Conner, seconded by Mary Jones to approve and adopt the 2025 MWPP Annual Report and Resolution. The motion passed unanimously.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Mary Jones and carried, to sign and return the engagement letter for the audit ending December 2025 by Coy Vincent of Gragson, Casiday & Guillory, LLP.
On a motion by Mary Jones, seconded by Ruben Doxey and carried, to accept sewage sludge from BHI Services, LLC.
On a motion by Mary Jones, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, there being no further business, the meeting stands adjourned.
