Members Present: Ronald Nunez, Shirley Gray, Ryan Mallory, Cecil Clark, Scott Henry.
Members Absent: None
Visitor: Rusty Welch
The Minutes from the February meeting were approved. A motion was made by Shirley Gray seconded by Ryan Mallory all were in favor.
The financial report was approved. A motion was made by Ryan Mallory seconded by Shirley Gray, all were in favor.
The bills were approved. A motion was made by Shirley Gray seconded by Ryan Mallory all were in favor.
The board held officer elections:
Shirley Gray made a motion to elect Scott Henry as President. Ryan Mallory seconded the motion, all were in favor.
Shirley Gray made a motion to elect Ryan Mallory as Vice President. Ronald Nunez seconded the motion, all were in favor.
Ryan Mallory made a motion to elect Shirley Gray as Secretary. Cecil Clark seconded the motion, all were in favor.
The board discussed the mileage. The motion was made by Ronald Nunez to keep the mileage set at 7.510. Shirley Gray seconded the motion, all were in favor.
The board discussed the 2022 budget. A motion was made by Ronald Nunez to set the budget as discussed. Shirley Gray seconded the motion, all were in favor.
Rusty Welch reported to the board he is working with NRCS on the flood protection levee. Rusty is working with Lonnie Harper’s office to get them the info they need.
Rusty Welch also let the board know that the staff gauges that were damaged from the hurricanes are being installed now. The project should be near completion. FEMA will pay for them to be replaced.
The board discussed getting a cargo trailer to store chemical and use if a evacuation is called. The board agreed to rent a trailer from Rusty Welch. If an evacuation is called he will also take care of getting the trailer out when needed. A motion was made by Shirley Gray. Ryan Mallory seconded the motion, all were in favor.
The parish is already in the process of cleaning storm debris around the parish, The board would like to work with parish to get the Bonsall ditch to the Bolo flap cleaned out. Ryan Mallory made a motion, Ronald Nunez seconded the motion all were in favor to try to get this taken care of. The rental of the equipment would be a FEMA reimbursement.
A motion was made by Ronald Nunez to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Shirley Gray, all were in favor.
