PROCEEDINGS
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou on June 11, 2024, at 5:00p.m. Members present by roll call were Mark Young, Connie Trahan, Kent Carlson, Bobbie Trahan, and Nathan Griffith. Employees attending were Rhonda Morrison and Carl Trahan. No guests were in attendance.
It was moved by Nathan Griffith to call the meeting to order.
The pledge was said by all present and the prayer was led by Nathan Griffith.
A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was given.
It was moved by Connie Trahan, seconded by Kent Carlson, and carried to accept May minutes as read.
The 2023 audit was presented. It was moved by Mark Young to accept the 2023 audit as presented. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
It was moved by Connie Trahan to adopt the 2024 millage rate of 4.18. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
It was moved by Kent Carlson, seconded by Bobbie Trahan, and carried; the Board shall go into Executive Session to interview applicants for the Secretary position. The vote thereon was as follows:

President Nathan Griffith called the meeting back to order and the board returned to regular session. It was moved by Bobbie Trahan to hire Jefra Trahan as the Part-time to Full-time Secretary at a beginning hourly wage of $20.00. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
Excavator trailer quotes were reviewed. It was moved by Kent Carlson to accept the quote from Mark Pedersen Trailer Sales, LLC. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
The new well location was discussed. Fenstermaker will continue working on the survey.
It was moved by Mark Young to have Fenstermaker begin geotechnical services on the Holly Beach North property. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
It was moved by Connie Trahan to authorize Rhonda to purchase a office computer with the software and cybersecurity protection required. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Mark Young and carried.
It was moved by Kent Carlson, seconded by Mark Young, and carried to approve the bank statements and the Actual vs. Budget report for the month ending May 2024.
It was moved by Connie Trahan, seconded by Bobbie Trahan, and carried to approve the bills as paid.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Nathan Griffith to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m. R.S. 44:33.1 – Public records can be obtained by contacting Rhonda Morrison at (337) 569-2110 or 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou, Louisiana.
