The Lower Cameron Hospital Service District No. 2 met on November 17, 2025 at 5:30 pm and meeting was called to order, Board members in attendance were: Lynn Griffith, Allison Romero, Rhonda Coleman, Vickie Trahan and April Young
The prayer and pledge were recited.
On the motion of Mrs. Griffith, seconded by Ms. Romero the Board approved the agenda.
Mrs. Coleman announced attendees and guests present which were Scotty Badon, April Trahan and Tressie Brunson – WCCH.
On the motion of Ms. Romero, seconded by Mrs. Griffith, the Board approved the minutes from the September 10, 2025 meeting.
The Board discussed the following business:
Old Business
Mr. Scotty Badon discussed having spoken to Laura with Acme Sign Co. and how at this time the marquee sign would be about six weeks out- they discussed being unable to locate the conduit wire and the need for two versus the original one- tried to contact electrician and had no response- Mr. Badon will handle the task of the conduit wire and get it hooked up by electrical company. Will take care of pole being correct height and checking with DOTD before digging. The sign company will set up Ms. Allison Romero and Mrs. April Trahan to be able program the marquee as needed.
Maintenance Projects Updates
Toilet issue – locating parts
Discussed handrails being ordered from Home Depot – cancelled order once received – will be fabricated from galvanized material
Front door repairs – will get trim samples to replace and will replace facia
Discussed plumbing hangers needing to be replaced under building due to water intrusion from storm in prior years
Water line to be insulated for upcoming cold weather conditions
JDEC would be switching back to regular power – Mr. Badon would insure generator filled for task
New Business
Mrs. Brunson discussed WCCH financials report. Board requested that invoices be sent timely so that the board could possibly handle on a monthly basis.
On the motion of Mrs. Young, seconded by Mrs. Trahan, the Board received the financials as presented by Mrs. Griffith. Discussion was had of implementation by Capital One new system used for check verification – Intellix.
On the motion of Mrs. Young, seconded by Ms. Romero, the Board approved to be a sponsor for the LA Fur and Wildlife Festival in the amount of $1,000.
Discussion was had to close the clinic at noon on Christmas Eve.
On the motion of Mrs. Young, seconded by Mrs. Griffith, the Board approved to adjourn the meeting.
