The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou on December 10, 2024, at 5:00p.m. Members present by roll call were Connie Trahan, Kent Carlson, Nathan Griffith, and Bobbie Trahan. Members absent were Mark Young. Employees attending were Rhonda Morrison, Carl Trahan, and Aaron Jinks. The guest attending was Coy Vincent.
It was moved by Nathan Griffith to call the meeting to order.
The pledge was said by all present and the prayer was led by Connie Trahan.
It was moved by Kent Carlson to approve the agenda as presented. No comment was given. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried by all.
A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was given.
It was moved by Kent Carlson, seconded by Connie Trahan, and carried to accept the November minutes as read.
CPA Coy Vincent presented the 2024 budget revisions. It was moved by Bobbie Trahan to accept the 2024 amended budget as presented. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Connie Trahan and carried.
CPA Coy Vincent presented the 2025 proposed budget. It was moved by Kent Carlson to accept the 2025 proposed budget as presented. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
The only bid received for the 2025 Official Journal from Cameron Parish Pilot was reviewed. It was moved by Connie Trahan to accept the bid as presented. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
Carl presented a leak detector suggested by LRWA for purchase. It was moved by Kent Carlson to purchase the leak detector. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
It was moved by Connie Trahan to approve the quote from Hydratec Services to inspect all fire hydrants for repairs needed and future painting. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
It was moved by Connie Trahan to authorize President Nathan Griffith to sign the Commonwealth LNG Foreign Trade Zone 291 support letter. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
It was moved by Bobbie Trahan to authorize President Nathan Griffith to sign the letter approving closure of the Chase Bank account. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by
Kent Trahan and carried.
It was moved by Bobbie Trahan, seconded by Kent Carlson, and carried to approve the bank statements and the Actual vs. Budget report for the month ending November 2024.
It was moved by Kent Carlson, seconded by Bobbie Trahan, and carried to approve the bills as paid.
