The 2025 Grand Lake Hornets football team will start their preseason this Thursday Aug. 21, on the road as they’ll take on the Vinton Lions in a controlled scrimmage starting at 5:30 p.m. at B.S. Walker Stadium.

The Hornets will look to match or exceed last season’s 7-4 record which landed them in the second round of the playoffs.

Next Friday Aug. 29, the Hornets will wrap up their preseason as they’ll play the Lake Arthur Tigers in the Welsh jamboree.
