Cameron Parish Recreation District 5 held its regularly scheduled meeting on February 15, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
Board President Tremayne Picou called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present: Jacob Babcock and Thomas Cox.
Absent: Kris Howerton and Kayla Conner
Employee in attendance was Lisa Ledano
Guest present: Mitch Thomas representing K & M Project Services, LLC
Minutes of the previous meeting, January 25, 2024, were distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.

Public comment – time was allowed for public comment prior to voting on all agenda items
Mitch Thomas with K & M Project Services, LLC presented the board with an amended preliminary drawing of the site and floor plan for a new facility. Mr. Thomas welcomed all comments and questions. The board members reviewed the previously requested changes made. Mr. Thomas will begin work on preparing renderings to be presented at a future board meeting.
The board members present reviewed the invoices for the month of January 2024. Jacob Babcock made a motion to approve the bills. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The treasurer’s report for the month of January 2024 was distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to accept the treasurer’s reports as presented. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
With no further business to discuss, Thomas Cox made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
