?LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that ConocoPhillips has applied for a 401 Water Quality Certification for the proposed Project Gumbo North Appraisal Well 1, to clear, grade, excavate, and place fill to construct a well pad and access route for future appraisal well. The well is required to perform site characterization operations to further evaluate the subsurface formations below the well pad site and assess the viability of injection and permanent geologic sequestration of carbon. The project as proposed is located approximately 20.5 miles east of Holly Beach on the south side of Louisiana Highway 82, Cameron Parish. ConocoPhillips is applying to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Environmental Services for a Water Quality Certification in accordance with statutory Authority contain in the LAC 33:IX.1507.A-E and provisions of Section 401 of the clean water act.
