Cameron Parish Recreation District 5 held its regularly scheduled meeting on January 25, 2024 at 6:00 pm.
Board President Tremayne Picou called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present: Kris Howerton, Thomas Cox, Kayla Conner and Jacob Babcock
Absent: none
Employees in attendance were Lisa Ledano.
Guests present: Police Juror Ronald Nunez, Police Juror Sam Bordelon, Mitch Thomas and Matthew Henningan representing K & M Project Services, LLC.
Minutes of the previous meetings, October 19 & 26, 2023, were distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Jacob Babcock made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.

Public comment- time was allowed for public comment prior to voting on all agenda items
Mitch Thomas with K & M Project Services, LLC presented the board with a preliminary drawing of the site and floor plan for a new facility. Mr. Thomas welcomed all comments and questions. A few changes were made to the drawing. Mr. Thomas will make the adjustments and send the updated drawing to Tremayne Picou who will share it with the other board members.
The board members present reviewed the invoices for the months of October, November and December 2023. Thomas Cox made a motion to approve the bills. Kris Howerton seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The treasurer’s report for the months of October, November and December 2023 were distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Jacob Babcock made a motion to accept the treasurer’s reports as presented. Kris Howerton seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
With no further business to discuss, Thomas Cox made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
