The Cameron Parish Water and Wastewater District No. 1 Board met in regular session on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the water district office located at 126 Ann Street in the town of Cameron, Louisiana.
Guest: Coy Vincent, Gragson, Casiday & Guillory
President Chris Mooney called the meeting to order.
The Pledge was led by Chris Mooney and the voluntary Prayer was led by Chris Mooney
Roll Call: Present: Chris Mooney, Tammy Peshoff and Cecil Clark III
Absent: Fred Sanders and Kathy Guthrie
There were no Public Comments.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Cecil Clark III and carried, to approve and dispense from reading the regular session December 22, 2020 minutes.
On a motion by Cecil Clark III, seconded by Tammy Peshoff and carried, to approve the financial statement for the month of December.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Cecil Clark III and carried, that the bills for the month of December 2020 be paid.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Cecil Clark III and carried, to accept the 2019 audit presented by Coy Vincent.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Cecil Clark III and carried, to sign and return the engagement letter for the audit ending December 31, 2019 by Coy Vincent of Gragson, Casiday & Guillory.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Cecil Clark III and carried, to complete, approve, sign and return the Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire to Coy Vincent, auditor.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff to nominate Chris Mooney for President, seconded by Cecil Clark III with 2 yeas, 0 nays, 2 absent, motion passed.
On a motion by Cecil Clark III to nominate Tammy Peshoff for Vice President, seconded by Chris Mooney with 2 yeas, 0 nays, 2 absent, motion passed.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Cecil Clark III and carried, to increase Coastal Cans dumping rate from .04¢ per gallon, to .10¢ per gallon, to be in same price range of other dumping facilities, effective immediately.
Be it further resolved, that the Board Members of the Cameron Parish Water & Wastewater District #1 hereby expresses its support to sign and submit the application for the Act 45 of 2020 State of Louisiana Cooperative Endeavor Agreement to Louisiana Department of the Treasury.
On a motion by Tammy Peshoff, seconded by Cecil Clark III and carried, there being no further business, the meeting stands adjourned.
