Proceedings
December 3, 2025
The Hackberry Fire Protection District 1 Board met for a regular session at the Hackberry Fire Station located at 1025 Main Street on Wednesday December 3, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
Present: Mr. Thad Little, Mr. Colton Sanner, Mr. Lawrence Little, Mr. Robert Silver
Employees present: Sydney Bird
District members present: Chief Clint Welch
Absent: Mr. Gerald Landry, Mr. Michael Fewell
Special Guest: None
The meeting was called to order by Board President Thad Little who also led the pledge and prayer.
On motion from Colton, seconded by Robert and carried unanimously, the minutes from the November 17, 2025, meeting, were approved.
The financial report for the month of October was presented by Sydney.
An update was provided on the installation of the generator.
The Brush Truck is back from CLM Equipment.
Officers for 2026 were reviewed.
Tabled items #3 and #4 will be re-evaluated next meeting.
Equipment/apparatus maintenance update: The board wants maintenance such as, changing the oil, to be done on all trucks when needed.
Chief Welch reported on Fire Department activities.
On motion by Robert, seconded by Lawrence, and carried unanimously, for an add on to the agenda to pay for Fireman’s Dinner. On motion by Robert, seconded by Lawrence, and carried unanimously, for the Fireman’s Dinner to be paid for by the department, if approved by Cameron Police Jury.
There being no further business, on motion from Colton, seconded by Robert and carried unanimously, the meeting was adjourned.
