The Lower Cameron Hospital Service District No. 2 met on February 28, 2024 at 5:30 pm and meeting was called to order, Board members in attendance were: Lynn Griffith, Allison Romero, Rhonda Coleman, Wendy Harrington and April Young Absent: None
The prayer was led by Mrs. Griffith and pledge were led by Mrs. Harrington.
On the motion of Mrs. Coleman, seconded by Mrs. Young the Board approved the agenda.
Mrs. Harrington announced attendees and guests present which were Sheila Badon, April Trahan and Tressie Brunson of WCCH.
On the motion of Mrs. Griffith, seconded by Mrs. Romero, the Board approved the minutes from the November 8,2023 meeting.
Public Comments made by Mrs. Tressie Brunson:
Nurse Practitioner will be out starting around May 20, 2024 for maternity leave, a 12-week period, two nurse practitioners from the Vinton clinic will rotate out in substituting
Cheniere made the donation of the hearing booth to the clinic, since no need at facility, she will look to possibly donate to another entity in need
January Financials were distributed and budget is in alignment thus far
There is currently an open position they are looking to fill for Medical Assistant position
The Board discussed the following business:
Old Business
Received update regarding the information on generator, they are in hopes to have received by April
Particular items done around the facility regarding maintenance: working to replace railing on front and sides as needed – will start on spring cleaning items as needed-hot water heater was replaced due to elements being corroded
New Business
Discussion of Financials- By Tressie Brunson- gave overview of financials dispersed – Board members had no questions
Discussion of banking information received from Mrs. Griffith- update of fraudulent checks that cleared account and working with bank and local authorities once additional information received Mrs. Griffith will update the board members.
LAMP Information distributed to board members.
Discussion of millage rates and waiting to receive additional information from the tax assessor’s office.
On the motion of Mrs. Coleman, seconded by Mrs. Young the Board approved to move one million out of the checking account into the LAMP account.
On the motion of Mrs. Griffith, seconded by Mrs. Romero, the Board approved to adjourn the meeting.
