Cameron Parish School Board members will be busy with an assignment this month, fine tooth combing an existing policy to come up with a plan that keeps students in the classroom and lice out.
Cameron Parish teachers will be pleased to see a little more green this spring.
“The spring stipend will be increased from 14 to 19 percent for this year only. This adjustment represents a one-time increase approved by the Board. It is our intention for the spring stipend to be paid at the end of April,” said Charley Lemons, school superintendent.
Lemons said the increase was made possible in large part through the continued generosity and partnership of local LNG industry partners Venture Global, Cheniere Energy and Cameron LNG.
“Their ongoing support plays a meaningful role in allowing the district to recognize and reward the hard work of our employees,” he added.
