PROCEEDINGS
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou on March 10, 2025, at 5:00p.m. Members present by roll call were Connie Trahan, Kent Carlson, Bobbie Trahan, and Mark Young. Members absent were Nathan Griffith. Employees attending were Rhonda Morrison and Carl Trahan. The guests attending was none.
It was moved by Connie Trahan to call the meeting to order.
The pledge was said by all present and the prayer was led by Connie Trahan.
It was moved by Mark Young to add S & S contract to the end of the agenda. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried by all.
It was moved by Bobbie Trahan to approve the updated agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried by all.
A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was given.
It was moved by Bobbie Trahan, seconded by Kent Carlson, and carried to accept the February minutes as read.
It was moved by Mark Young to authorize Connie Trahan to sign the 2024 Audit engagement, Compliance Questionnaire, and AUP. No comment was given. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
The Water Sector grant for the DOTD site was not granted to WW10 and FEMA is requesting a magnitude of costly documents and testing at the new well site location for approval of an alternate project. Therefore, it was moved by Mark Young to authorize Fenstermaker to request a COBRA exclusion for the DOTD site. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
Full-time secretary applications were reviewed. It was moved by Mark Young to have 2 of the applicants attend the April meeting and interview at the end. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
It was moved by Kent Carlson, seconded by Bobbie Trahan, and carried to approve the bank statements and the Actual vs. Budget report for the month ending February 2025.
It was moved by Mark Young, seconded by Kent Carlson, and carried to approve the bills as paid.
