CPAD2 met on March 4,2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the CPAD2 Office at 979 Main St., Hackberry, La. 70645
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Pledge was led by Mrs. Simon
Prayer was led by Mrs. Simon
Members Present Randall McFatter, Lynn Griffith, Kathleen Simon, Calise Romero
Members Absent: Suzanne Trahan and Terry Faulk
Guests: Rhonda Coleman, Darla Perry, Kirk Pellerin, and Carol Fountain
Members read and approved the January 21, 2026, minutes with a motion by Mr. McFatter and a 2nd by Mrs. Simon; the motion carried unopposed.
When asked, there were no public comments.
Old Business:
1. None
New Business:
1. Mr. Romero read the Resolution to adopt the 2026 millage rate of 9.5 for 2026. Mr. McFatter made a motion to take an individual vote; Mrs. Simon seconded it, and it carried. Mr. Romero Yea, Mrs. Griffith Yea, Mrs. Simon Yea, and Mr. McFatter Yea. 0 Nays, 0 Abstain, and 2 Absent. Motion carried.
2. Kirk Pellerin presented the board with the possibility of leaving some of our LAMP Funds in Sabine State Bank, as they are now matching LAMP’s daily interest rates. Upon discussion, the board decided to table the pending matter until further information was available. Mr. McFatter made the motion, Mrs. Griffith made a 2nd and the motion carried.
3. The financial report was given by Darla Perry, and with a motion to accept by Mr. McFatter, 2nd by Mrs. Griffith, all approved.
4. A new ambulance for Hackberry was discussed, and it was decided to move forward with the purchase with a motion by Mr. McFatter. Mrs. Griffith made a 2nd and the motion carried.
5. There were 3 bid proposals to build an awning and add concrete to the driveway at Grandlake Station. The bid of 23,450.00 from Rite Way Developers was the lowest, and with a motion by Mrs. Simon and a 2nd by Mrs. Griffith, the motion carried.
6. Mr. McFatter made a motion to accept the Directors’ Report as given. Mrs. Simon made a 2nd and the motion carried.
7. With no other business, a motion to adjourn was made by Mrs. Simon and a 2nd by Mrs. Griffith, and the motion carried.
