MINUTES OF 

PROCEEDINGS

The Board of Commissioners of Lower Cameron Hospital Service District met in Regular Session on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 4:30 p.m., at the Cameron Parish Library Main Branch in Cameron, Louisiana. Members present were Chairman Stephanie Rodrigue, Shawn Bonsall, Vice Chairman Mary Canik, Vickie Kiffe, Kevin Dupke and Michelle Trahan. Secretary Michelle Vincent was in attendance.

Stephanie Rodrigue, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 4:30pm.

Shawn Bonsall led the Pledge of Allegiance. The prayer was led by Vickie Kiffe.

Roll was called by Secretary Michelle Vincent. All board members were present. A quorum was determined.

The agenda was approved upon motion by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Mary Canik.

There were no comment cards submitted and no public comments.

Upon motion by Mary Canik and seconded by Shawn Bonsall, the Board of Commissioners approved the April 8, 2026, regular meeting minutes.

Upon motion by Michelle Trahan and seconded by Mary Canik, an update was received from FEMA on reimbursements and project worksheet versioning, as prepared by Wendell Piper, Project Manager, Hunt, Guillot & Associates 

Upon motion by Shawn Bonsall and seconded by Michelle Trahan, the Board of Commissioners approved, with advisement from Coy T. Vincent, CPA, Gragson, Casidy & Guillory, L.L.P., the consolidation of the Maintenance, General Fund and Construction accounts into one account at b1 Bank.

Upon motion by Vickie Kiffe and seconded by Mary Canik, the Board of Commissioners approved the ratification of payment of recurring bills.

Upon motion by Shawn Bonsall and seconded by Michelle Trahan, the Board of Commissioners approved the Financial Report, as prepared by Treasurer Julie Trahan and presented by Secretary Michelle Vincent.

Upon motion by Vickie Kiffe and seconded by Shawn Bonsall, the Board of Commissioners approved payment of the bills.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:43 PM.
