The Hackberry Fire Protection District 1 Board met for a regular session at the Hackberry Fire Station located at 1025 Main Street on Wednesday June 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
Present: Mr. Thad Little, Mr. Colton Sanner, Mr. Lawrence Little, Mr. Robert Silver, Mr. Gerald Landry
Police Juror present: Michael Fewell
Employee present: Sydney Bird
District members present: Brad Lester, Glenn Welch
Absent: Chief Clint Welch
Special Guest: None
The meeting was called to order by Board President Thad Little who also led the pledge and prayer.
On motion from Lawrence, seconded by Robert and carried unanimously, the minutes from May 20, 2026, were approved.
The financial report for the month of May was presented by Sydney.
Station 2’s property survey has been completed.
New fire truck should be completed in August.
The TC Energy Grant is waiting to be received.
All plans for hurricane season remain the same as the previous year.
The board will discuss what to do with Engine 2 and Engine 3 at the next meeting.
Sydney reported on Fire Department activities and equipment/apparatus maintenance update.

There being no further business, on motion from Gerald, seconded by Colton and carried unanimously, the meeting was adjourned.
