A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Hackberry Recreation District was held at the Hackberry Recreation Center in Hackberry, Cameron Parish, Louisiana, Monday, April 20,2026 at 4:15 pm.
Members Present: Travis LaBove, Travis Welch, & Terry J. Murphy.
Members Absent: Bethany Moore & Desiree Boykin.
Guests: None.
The meeting was called to order by the Vice-Chairman; Travis LaBove and the following business was discussed.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Travis Welch, and carried to accept the regular meeting minutes as read.
Motion was made by Travis Welch, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to accept the financial statements.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Travis Welch, and carried to adopt resolution of 9.870 mills for the Hackberry Recreation District for 2026.
Motion was made by Travis Welch, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to adopt resolution of 1.980 mills for the HRD Multi-Purpose Facility for 2026.
Motion was made by Travis Welch, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to replace outdoor playground surface area with Shawgrass Playsafe Turf system.
Motion by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Travis Welch, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
