Last week, Head Coach Jeff Wainwright and his staff were informed that their week 10 District game against Hamilton Christian will not happen as HCS is currently fighting to keep enrollment and staff on campus and as you can imagine athletics is the least of their concerns right now.

It was rumored that a couple months ago Hamilton Christian was said to only have 10 high schoolers currently on campus, whether that number has increased or decreased is unknown at this time. So now that opened up a slot for Coach Wainwright and his staff to fill, however he did not have to look very far down the road as he was able to make a call to Coach Tarius Davis at Lake Arthur and both agreed to a home and home series in week 10.

This upcoming season’s game against LAHS will take place in Grand Lake on Thursday Nov. 5.

It will certainly be a good test for the Hornets right before the beginning of the playoffs!
