REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING MONDAY
JANUARY 26, 2026
The Johnson Bayou Recreation District of Cameron Parish met on Monday January 26, 2026, at 5:00p.m. The meeting was held at the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center located at 135 Berwick Rd. Johnson Bayou, LA 70631.
Members present: Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, Mr. Adam Young, Mr. Calise Romero, Mrs. Pamela Romero, and Ms. Doloras Woolery
Members absent: none
Guests: Mrs. Heather Trahan
Mrs. Adrienne Jinks called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm
The pledge was led by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks
The prayer was led by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks
A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comments were made.
A motion was made at 5:01pm by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Mrs. Pamela Romero, and carried to go into executive session.
A motion was made at 5:09 by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Ms. Doloras Woolery, and carried to end the executive session.
A motion was made by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Mr. Adam Young, and carried to adjust the director’s salary increase to $40,000 with back pay from the November 10, 2025 meeting.
Sealed bids were received and opened for the official journal for the 2026 publishing year. A motion was made by Mrs. Pamela Romero, seconded by Mr. Adam Young, and carried to accept the bid submitted by The Cameron Pilot.
A motion was made by Mr. Adam Young, seconded by Mrs. Pamela Romero, and carried to accept the minutes of the December 8, 2025, meeting.
It was moved by Mr. Adam Young, seconded by Ms. Doloras Woolery, and carried to approve the bills as paid.
A motion was made by Mr. Adam Young, seconded by Ms. Doloras Woolery, and carried to accept review of the financial statements which include budget-to-actual comparisons.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Mr. Calise Romero, seconded by Mr. Adam Young, and carried to adjourn the meeting at 5:13pm. The next regular meeting will be held in March.
