Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1
November 17, 2025
The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1 was held at 5:00 p.m., November 17, 2025 at the Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement office. Board members present were Mitchel Kelley, Robert Trahan, Bryce Carpenter, and James Boudreaux. Karl Styron, Marck Smythe, and Thomas Cox were absent.
The meeting was called to order by Mitchel Kelley, who then asked for approval of the minutes from the last meeting, October 30, 2025. A motion was made by James Boudreaux, seconded by Bryce Carpenter, and carried that the minutes be approved as printed.
In New Business, Bryce Carpenter made a motion, seconded by Robert Trahan, and carried to approve the 2025 Amended budget. Then James Boudreaux made a motion, seconded by Bryce Carpenter, and carried to approve a 50 cent/hour raise for drivers and a 4% increase for full time employees. Then Robert Trahan made a motion, seconded by Bryce Carpenter to approve the 2026 Budget.
Next Bryce Carpenter made a motion, seconded by Robert Trahan, and carried to approve the purchase of 5 new F150 with V8 engines to replace old spray trucks.
James Boudreaux then made a motion, seconded by Bryce Carpenter, and carried, to advertise for chemical, fuel, and emergency aerial bids.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Robert Trahan, seconded by James Boudreaux, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
