Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1

The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of CameronParish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1 was held at 6:00 p.m., August 28, 2025 at Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement office. Board members present were Mitchel Kelley, Bryce Carpenter, Robert Trahan, and James Boudreaux. Karl Styron, Marck Smythe, and Thomas Cox was absent.
The meeting was called to order by Mitchel Kelley, who then asked for approval of the minutes from the last meeting, May 22, 2025. A motion was made by James Boudreaux, seconded by Bryce Carpenter, and carried that the minutes be approved as printed. A motion was made by James Boudreaux, seconded by Robert Trahan, and carried to approve the financial statement.
In new business, Robert Trahan made a motion, seconded by Bryce Carpenter, and carried to approve the 2024 Audit.
Next, the USAF IRT was discussed. James Boudreaux made a motion seconded by Bryce Carpenter to accept .66 ounces/acre to be sprayed with the government plane. Then Robert Trahan made a motion, seconded by Bryce Carpenter to add acreage to be sprayed if the opportunity allows.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Robert Trahan, seconded by Bryce Carpenter, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
