REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING MONDAY
DECEMBER 8, 2025
The Johnson Bayou Recreation District of Cameron Parish met on Monday December 8, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the Johnson Bayou Recreation Center located at 135 Berwick Rd. Johnson Bayou, LA 70631.
Members present: Mr. Calise Romero, Mrs. Pamela Romero, Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, Mr. Adam Young, and Ms. Doloras Woolery
Members absent: none
Guests: Mrs. Heather Trahan
Mr. Calise Romero called the meeting to order at 5:10 pm
The pledge was led by Mr. Calise Romero
The prayer was led by Mr. Calise Romero
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comments were made.
A motion was made by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, seconded by Mr. Adam Young and carried to amend the 2025 budget and approve the 2026 proposed budget.
2026 Election of officers:
A motion was made by Mr. Calise Romero to appoint Mrs. Adrienne Jinks as President of the board; the nomination was seconded by Mrs. Pamela Romero. Mrs. Adrienne Jinks accepted the nomination.
A motion was made by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks to appoint Mr. Adam Young as Vice President of the board; the nomination was seconded by Mrs. Pamela Romero. Mr. Adam Young accepted the nomination.
A motion was made by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, seconded by Mrs. Pamela Romero, and carried to accept the minutes of the November 10, 2025, meeting.
It was moved by Mr. Adam Young, seconded by Mrs. Adrienne Jinks, and carried to approve the bills as paid.
A motion was made by Mr. Adam Young, seconded by Ms. Doloras Woolery, and carried to accept review of the financial statements which include budget-to-actual comparisons.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Mr. Adam Young, seconded by Mrs. Pamela Romero, and carried to adjourn the meeting at 5:27 pm. The next regular meeting will be held in February.
