September 23, 2025
Ernest Roberts called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Board Members present were Ernest Roberts, Jessica Crador, Ronald Nunez, and Beth Ferguson. Board members not present were Samantha Henry. Beth Ferguson led the prayer and Jessica Crador led the pledge of allegiance.
Public Comments: There was no public comment.
On the motion by Beth Ferguson, seconded by Jessica Crador, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the May 2025 minutes.
On the motion by Jessica Crador, aseconded by Beth Ferguson, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the August 2025 financial statement.
On the motion by Beth Ferguson, seconded by Jessica Crador, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted to find out the proper steps to get rid of the Lowry Library Building.
On the motion by Beth Ferguson, seconded by Jessica Crador, and carried, the Library Board voted to advertise and hire two part-time employees.
On the motion by Jessica Crador, seconded by Beth Ferguson, and carried, the Library Board voted to change the library policy, and increase the hours for part-time employees from 27 hours to 29 hours per week.
On the motion by Beth Ferguson, seconded by Jessica Crador, and carried, the Library Board voted to accept the quote to replace the Johnson Bayou elevator/lift. Total amount: $22,517.50.
There being no further business and upon the motion by Beth Ferguson, seconded by Jessica Crador, and carried, the Library Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 7:30 p.m.
