The Lower Cameron Hospital Service District No. 2 met on July 9, 2025 at 5:30 pm and meeting was called to order, Board members in attendance were: Lynn Griffith, Allison Romero, Rhonda Coleman, Vickie Trahan and April Young Absent: Scotty Badon
The prayer and pledge were recited.
On the motion of Mrs. Young, seconded by Ms. Romero the Board approved the agenda.
Mrs. Coleman announced attendees and guests present which were April Trahan and Tressie Brunson.
On the motion of Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mrs. Griffith, the Board approved the minutes from the May 13, 2025 meeting.
The Board discussed the following business:
Old Business
Maintenance Projects Updates
AC units were installed – running properly.
Discussed hand rails rusting outside- may need to be replaced
Door knobs may need to be cleaned again due to rust
Discussed Mr. Badon’s contract and discussed where costs could be lowered
Discussed weekly trash services and cans being brought to roadway
On the motion of Mrs. Young, seconded by Ms. Romero, the Board approved to add to Deep Bayou Enterprises (Scotty Badon) contract the cost of an additional $300 per month for addition of mowing services.
On the motion of Mrs. Young, seconded by Mrs. Griffith, the Board tabled final discussion of any additional changes to maintenance contract to be reviewed at September meeting.
Discussed how Cameron Parish Police Jury did not notify Board that the parish would now start charging entities for mowing services.
The Board discussed the receptionist position being filled and stated that she is bilingual and how that is an added asset.
New Business
Mrs. Brunson discussed WCCH financials report.
Mrs. April Trahan, discussed that she had met with personnel from Cheniere LNG and they had asked if the clinic had any needs at this time. The Board discussed possibly replacing the marquee sign to make residents more aware of services available.
On the motion of Ms. Romero, seconded by Mrs. Young, the Board received the financials as presented by Mrs. Griffith.
On the motion of Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mrs. Griffith, the Board approved to adjourn the meeting.
