Cameron Night at McNeese State University basketball game was held on Monday, Jan. 12, at Townsley Law Arena for the McNeese vs. Nichols game.
Cheniere, Cameron LNG, Sempra Infrastructure, and Venture Global in partnership with McNeese State University hosted 48 Junior and Senior Students from all Cameron Parish Schools giving them the opportunity to experience McNeese firsthand and explore potential pathways for future enrollment.
Students attending were: Braycen Bartie, Reyce Broussard, Sean Clement, Karson Eskind, Palynn Fontenot, Leonardo Gonzalez, Marie Guillory, Sydni Boudreaux, Taylor Broxton, Marcus Chambliss, Myles French, Lane Gray, Ike Little, Aubre Mire, Kaston Moore, Charley Swier.
There were refreshments and food as well as informational tables staffed by representatives from admissions, recruiting and each academic college including Business, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Health Professions, and Science and Engineering.
Additionally, McNeese recognized Cameron Parish Leadership during halftime at center court.
In attendance were: Representative Ryan Bourriaque, Police Juror President Michael Fewell, Police Juror Wendell Wilkerson, Police Jury Administrator Katie Armentor, School Board Supervisor Robert Gates, Judge Penelope Richard, Port Director Kim Montie, Sheriff Chris Savoie, Clerk of Court Susan Racca and Assessor Scott Lavergne.
It was a fun and exciting evening with McNeese taking the win, 94-68. Go Pokes!
