Williams to transfer to Arkansas

By Jake McCoy

Former Grand Lake Hornet stand out Bryant Williams has entered the transfer portal after spending multiple seasons at UL-Lafayette With the Ragin’ Cajuns. Now Williams will be heading north to the natural state as he will be playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

In his three seasons with the Ragin’ Cajuns, Williams played in 36 games including the 2024 season when he was part of a strong offensive line that was ranked fifth nationally in fewest tackles for a loss allowed which was 3.58 per game. They were also the 18th best offense in the country thanks to his hard nose, anchor performance on the offensive line. His 6 foot 7, 335 pound frame has certainly caught the eyes of many SEC coaches, which is why he will be playing in Fayetteville this fall. We cannot confirm yet but Williams might be the first football player from Cameron Parish to play at an SEC school.
