Cameron Parish Recreation District 5 held its regularly scheduled meeting on December 18, 2025 at 6:00 pm.
The meeting began with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance led by Thomas Cox.
The invocation was led by Thomas Cox.
Board President Tremayne Picou called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present: Thomas Cox and Jordan Thompson.
Absent: Jacob Babcock and Kris Howerton
Employees in attendance were Lisa Ledano and Vickie Pickett.

A draft of the minutes of the previous meetings, September 18 & 25, 2025, were distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Jordan Thompson seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.

Review FEMA information – Thomas Cox made a motion to table the matter for a later meeting. Jordan Thompson seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
Transfer funds from B1 Bank MMA to LAMP account – Jordan Thompson made a motion to transfer $100,000.00 from B1 Bank MMA to the LAMP account. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
Review new facility plans – Thomas Cox made a motion to table the matter until the January 2026 meeting. Jordan Thompson seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
RFQ for an architect – Thomas Cox made a motion to table the matter until the January 2026 meeting. Jordan Thompson seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The board members present reviewed the invoices for the months of September, October and November 2025. Thomas Cox made a motion to approve the bills. Jordan Thompson seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The financial statement for the months of September, October and November 2025 were distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to accept the financial statements as presented. Jordan Thompson seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
With no further business to discuss, Jordan Thompson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
