PROCEEDINGS
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou on December 9, 2025, at 5:00p.m. Members present by roll call were Connie Trahan, Bobbie Trahan, and Mark Young. Members absent were Nathan Griffith and Kent Carlson. The employees attending were Rhonda Morrison, Shannon Hebert, and Carl Trahan.
It was moved by Connie Trahan to call the meeting to order.
The pledge was said by all present. The prayer was led by Connie Trahan.
It was moved by Bobbie Trahan to accept the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Mark Young and carried.
A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was made.
It was moved by Bobbie Trahan, seconded by Mark Young, and carried to accept the November minutes as read.
The 2025 Amended Budget was presented. It was moved by Mark Young to accept the 2025 amended budget as presented. No public comment was made. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
The 2026 Proposed Budget was presented. It was moved by Mark Young to accept the proposed 2026 budget as presented. No public comment was made. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
It was moved by Mark Young to accept the only bid received from Cameron Parish Pilot for the 2026 Official Journal. No public comment was made. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
There were 2 quotes received for the 2026 Backflow device inspections. It was moved by Bobbie Trahan to accept the lowest quote of $100.00 per inspection from A2Z Water Services. No public comment was made. The motion was seconded by Mark Young and carried.
Rhonda updated the Board on the Egret Street project. Mr. Bull decided not to move forward with the distribution line installation.
Rhonda gave an update on the status of the well site storage tank that is out of service, the Holly Beach storage tank, and the status of the Community Water Enrichment Grant re-allocation of funding. New billing software was discussed. Rhonda is researching with other parish water districts to find the most efficient software that is user friendly for the district and the customers also. A decision will be made at a later date.
The monthly / annual asset maintenance documents were reviewed. No motion was made.
It was moved by Mark Young, seconded by Bobbie Trahan, and carried to approve the bank statements and the Actual vs. Budget report for the month ending November 2025.
It was moved by Bobbie Trahan, seconded by Mark Young, and carried to approve the bills as paid.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Connie Trahan to adjourn the meeting @ 6:00 pm. R.S. 44:33.1 – Public records can be obtained by contacting Rhonda Morrison at (337) 569-2110 or 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou, Louisiana.
