?PROCEEDINGS
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou on October 14, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Members present by roll call were Kent Carlson, Connie Trahan, Nathan Griffith, and Mark Young. Members absent were Bobbie Trahan. The employees attending were Rhonda Morrison, Shannon Hebert, Jeffery Landry, and Carl Trahan. Guest attending were Sonny McGee, Alex Benoit, Trudi Dewey, Anita Ellis, and Charles Bull.
It was moved by Nathan Griffith to call the meeting to order.
The pledge and prayer were said by all present.
It was moved by Mark Young to accept the agenda as presented with changes. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was made.
It was moved by Kent Carlson, seconded by Mark Young, and carried to accept the September minutes as read.
Charles Bull discussed a water line extension on Egret Street. The project will be investigated further and details provided to Mr. Bull once received.
HR Director Trudi Dewey reviewed drug policies, whistleblower laws, and FMLA with the Board members and employees.
The Board discussed an increase in pay for Shannon Hebert in regard to her 6-month employment evaluation. It was moved by Kent Carlson to give Shannon a $2.00 an hour raise. No comment was made. The motion was seconded by Mark Young and carried.
An update was given on the Capital Outlay Funding application. The priority of projects was discussed and deemed in line with Fenstermaker’s recommendation.
Rhonda updated the Board on the elevator repairs and cost, the status of the Well Site leaking storage tank project currently in progress, and the arrival of the new company truck.
The monthly / annual asset maintenance documents were reviewed. No motions were made.
It was moved by Kent Carlson, seconded by Connie Trahan, and carried to approve the bank statements and the Actual vs. Budget report for the month ending September 2025.
It was moved by Mark Young, seconded by Kent Carlson, and carried to approve the bills as paid.
