The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou on Aug. 12, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. Members present by roll call were Connie Trahan, Kent Carlson, Bobbie Trahan, Nathan Griffith, and Mark Young. Members absent were none. The employees attending were Rhonda Morrison, Shannon Hebert, Aaron Jinks, and Carl Trahan.
It was moved by Nathan Griffith to call the meeting to order.
The pledge was said by all present and the prayer was led by Connie Trahan.
It was moved by Kent Carlson to accept the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Bobbie Trahan and carried.
A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was made.
It was moved by Connie Trahan, seconded by Kent Carlson, and carried to accept the July minutes as read.
It was moved by Mark Young to authorize the purchase of 6 rapid radios for communication. No comment was made. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
It was moved by Bobbie Trahan to upgrade the yearly cybersecurity protection with Global Data Systems. No comment was made. The motion was seconded by Connie Trahan and carried.
The 2025 Sanitary Survey and Johnson Bayou water tower fence updates were given. The monthly and annual asset maintenance documents were reviewed.
It was moved by Mark Young to implement the following policy:
If more than 2 days are taken off during an employee’s “on call” work week, the weekend “on call” hours will be forfeited. No comment was made. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
It was moved by Connie Trahan, seconded by Kent Carlson, and carried to approve the bank statements and the Actual vs. Budget report for the month ending July 2025.
It was moved by Mark Young, seconded by Bobbie Trahan, and carried to approve the bills as paid.
