OF CAMERON PARISH
July 23, 2025
Gravity Drainage District No. 4 of Cameron Parish held a regular meeting at South Cameron High School, 753 Oak Grove Highway, Grand Chenier, Louisiana 70643, at 5:30 pm, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
Chairman Shane Broussard called the meeting to order.
Board members present for the meeting were Shane Broussard, Leslie Griffith, Yancy Welch, and Zavier Theriot. Dan Nunez was absent.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the minutes of the Thursday, June 19, 2025, meeting were approved.
On motion of Mr. Theriot seconded by Mr. Griffith and carried, the Board accepted the financial report of May 30, 2025.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the Board approved the following bills for payment:
1. Jeff Davis Electric Co-Op – $82.34
2.Cameron Pilot – $29.00
On motion of Mr. Theriot, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the Board approved the following permit: LCUP#250808 – Canik’s Feed and Grocery, Location of Permit: Creole, 4459 W. Creole Highway, (proposes after-the-fact permit for construction of a fuel station with canopy. A portion of the project is complete which includes 1,737CY of fill material and 2,391CY of concrete for driveway and parking lot.
On motion of Mr. Theriot, Seconded by Mr. Welch and carried the Board approved the following permit: LCUP#250807 – Cameron Parish Police Jury, Location of Permit: Creole, Rutherford Beach, (proposes installation of 130 feet x 18” diameter HDPE cross pipe on PR. #362, Cameron Drive. Excavation of new ditch from PR. #362 to PR. #361 Calcasieu Drive. Total length 230 feet. A Portion of 100 feet of the new ditch to be closed. All work is within Parish Road right-of-way and all equipment will operate from parish road, Rutherford Beach Road.)
There being no further business, on a motion from Mr. Theriot, seconded by Mr. Welch and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
