MINUTE PROCEEDINGS
There was a regular meeting of Gravity Drainage District 5 at 4:30 pm, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Cameron Parish School Board – Audrey Memorial Building C – 3151 Trosclair Road, Creole, LA 70632.
Present: Suzie Fawvor, Greg January, Bubba Richard, Anthony Swire and Phillip Trosclair III
Absent: Bubba Richard
Guest: Trey Picou
President Phillip Trosclair called the meeting to order.
On motion by Anthony Swire, seconded by Suzie Fawvor, and carried, to add an addition to the agenda as line item 7a – Letter of support for the SW Coastal funding for the Rockefeller Shoreline Continuation Project ME41.
On motion by Anthony Swire, seconded by Greg January, and carried, to approve the agenda.
On motion Suzie Fawvor, seconded by Greg January, and carried, the board approved of the minutes of the previous meeting.
On motion by Suzie Fawvor, seconded by Anthony Swire, and carried, to accept the financial report.
On motion by Anthony Swire, seconded by Greg January, and carried, to authorize audit engagement agreement with Gragson, Casiday & Guillory, LLP for the year ending December 31, 2024.
On motion by Anthony Swire, seconded by Greg January, and carried, for K&M Project Services, LLC to shoot elevation of pipe and level of the marsh at the water control structure along the Mermentau River.
On motion by Anthony Swire, seconded by Greg January, and carried, the board approved the following permits:
John and Linda Conner – 206 West Miller Road, Grand Chenier, Cameron Parish, LA (250301)
Cameron Parish Police Jury – Carl McCall Road, Grand Chenier, Cameron Parish, LA (250304)
Field Energy Offshore, LLC – Kings Bayou, Grand Chenier, Cameron Parish, LA (250403)
On motion by Greg January, seconded by Suzie Fawvor, and carried to accept the monthly invoices.
On motion by Anthony Swire, second by Suzie Fawvor, and carried, the meeting is declared adjourned.
