Cameron Parish Recreation District 5 held its regularly scheduled meeting on March 20, 2025 at 6 p.m.
The meeting began with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance led by Jacob Babcock.
The invocation was led by Thomas Cox.
Board President Tremayne Picou called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present: Thomas Cox and Jacob Babcock.
Absent: Kris Howerton and Kayla Conner

A draft of the minutes of the previous meeting, February 20, 2025, was distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.

Public comment – none Hiring an office assistant – Thomas Cox made a motion o enter into executive session to discuss the applications received. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. Jacob Babcock made a mo tion to come out of executive session. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. Thomas Cox made a motion to hire Baleigh Hampton for the position of office assistant. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The board members present reviewed the invoices for the month of February 2025. Jacob Babcock made a motion to approve the bills. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The financial statement for the month of February 2025 was distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to accept the financial statement as presented. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
With no further business to discuss, Jacob Babcock made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
