WATER DISTRICT NO. 11
PROCEEDINGS
February 24, 2025
There was a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Water District No. 11 at 6:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Grand Lake Waterworks office.
PRESENT: Grace Robideaux, Jerome Verzwyvelt, John T Constance
ABSENT: Carl Granger, Wayne Hebert
The meeting was called to order by Vice-President Grace Robideaux.
On motion of Jerome Verzwyvelt, seconded by John T Constance and carried unanimously, the agenda was approved as posted.
On motion of Jerome Verzwyvelt, seconded by John T Constance and carried unanimously, the minutes from the December 16, 2024 regular meeting were approved as previously sent out.
On motion of Jerome Verzwyvelt, seconded by John T Constance and carried unanimously, the bid for the Proposed Ground Storage Tank Replacement at 111 Dennis Ln, Bell City, LA 70630 from Alfred Palma, LLC for the base bid with the deduction of bid items 4, 8 and 9 was accepted. The accepted bid amount is $291,200.
On motion of Jerome Verzwyvelt, seconded by John T Constance and carried unanimously, the district engaged Gragson, Casiday & Guillory LLP to perform the audit for the year ending December 31, 2024.
On motion of Jerome Verzwyvelt, seconded by John T Constance and carried unanimously, the compliance questionnaire for the year ending December 31, 2024 was adopted.
There was a financial report given for the month ending January 31, 2025 by Helen Williams.
On motion of John T Constance, seconded by Jerome Verzwyvelt and carried unanimously, the financial statements for the period ending and January 31, 2025 which reflect budget comparison were accepted as presented.
The Superintendent’s Report was presented by Jake Nunez.
On motion of Jerome Verzwyvelt, seconded by John T Constance and carried unanimously, all bills were approved for payment.
There being no further business, on motion of Jerome Verzwyvelt, seconded by John T Constance and carried unanimously, the meeting was declared adjourned.
