South Cameron Consolidated Waterworks District No. 1
The South Cameron Consolidated Waterworks District No. 1 met in regular session on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 4:30 at the Cameron Parish School Board- Audrey Memorial Building C- 3151 Trosclair Road, Creole, LA 70632.
President Joseph Baccigalopi called the meeting to order.
Joseph Baccigalopi led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Prayer.
The following members were present: Joseph Baccigalopi, Todd Conner, Vickie Kiffe, Michelle Trahan and Tammy Vincent
The following members were absent: Shane Broussard
The following guests were in attendance: Tom Barrett- District Attorney, Katie Armentor- Parish Administrator and Mitch Thomas- K&M Project Services
It was moved by Michelle Trahan, seconded by Vickie Kiffe and carried, to add the following items to the agenda: Executive Session- Waterline Break
It was moved by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Michelle Trahan, and carried, to approve the agenda.
It was moved by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Michelle Trahan, and carried, that the minutes from the previous meetings are hereby approved.
It was moved by Michelle Trahan, seconded by Vickie Kiffe, and carried that the financial statements and budget to actual comparison are approved for Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 1, Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 7, and Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 9.
It was moved by Michelle Trahan, seconded by Tammy Vincent, and carried, to pay monthly bills for Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 1, Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 7 and Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 9.
It was moved by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Tammy Vincent, and carried, to table the review of customer RV charge rates.
It was moved by Michelle Trahan, seconded by Vickie Kiffe, and carried, to table the change order for the consolidation project of the ground storage tank and authorized Cameron Waterworks to submit invoices to OCD for reimbursement from the Consolidation Project Funds to Cameron Parish Police Jury for Engineering, Architectural (A&E) Professional Service Fees includes surveys, title opinions and inspections.
It was moved by Michelle Trahan, seconded by Todd Conner, and carried, to accept and authorize President to sign the Cooperate Endeavor Agreement with the Cameron Parish School Board. Vickie Kiffe recused from voting.
It was moved by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Michelle Trahan, and carried; the board members shall go into Executive Session to discuss:
a.) Operator for Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 7
b.) Waterline Break- Grand Chenier
The vote thereon was as follows:
Yeas: Joseph Baccigalopi, Todd Conner, Vickie Kiffe, Michelle Trahan and Tammy Vincent
Nays: None
Absent or Not Voting: Shane Broussard
The President called the meeting back to order, and the board members returned to regular session. No action was taken on any Executive Session Item, it was only discussion.
It was moved by Michelle Trahan, seconded by Tammy Vincent, and carried, to rescind the motion made on September 25, 2024, to hire a full-time operator due to applicant rejecting the job offer for Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 7,
It was moved by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Tammy Vincent, and carried, to hire a full-time operator for Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 7, pending drug screening and probation period.
There being no further business, on the motion of Tammy Vincent, seconded by Vickie Kiffe and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
