July 25, 2024
Board President Kathleen Simon called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Board Members present were Ernest Roberts, Kathleen Simon, Ronald Nunez, and Wendy Harrington. Board Members not present were Peter Posada, Jessica Crador, and Beth Ferguson. Kathleen Simon led the prayer and Wendy Harrington led the pledge of allegiance.
Public Comments: There was no public comment.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Ernest Roberts, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the June minutes.
On the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Wendy Harrington, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the financial statement.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Ernest Roberts, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the ratification of Change Order COR 007 REV – Cameron Main Library, delay of storefront doors. Approved at the July 1, 2024, Police Jury Meeting. Increase contract amount by $6,539.00 and increase contract time by 199 days.
On the motion by Wendy Harrington, seconded by Ernest Roberts, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted the ratification of Substantial Complete – Cameron Main Library, approved at the July 1, 2024, Police Jury Meeting.
On the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Wendy Harrington, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted putting a new vehicle logo on the two library vehicles.
On the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Wendy Harrington, and carried, the Library Board voted and accepted to hire Dylan Carroll and Anjanette Portie as full-time employees.
There being no further business and upon the motion by Ernest Roberts, seconded by Wendy Harrington, and carried, the Library Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 5:52 p.m.
