South Cameron Consolidated Waterworks District No. 1
March 19, 2024
The South Cameron Consolidated Waterworks District No. 1 met in regular session on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 4:30 at the Cameron Parish School Board- Audrey Memorial Building C- 3151 Trosclair Road, Creole, LA 70632.
President Joseph Baccigalopi called the meeting to order.
Joseph Baccigalopi led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Prayer.
The following members were present: Joseph Baccigalopi, Vickie Kiffe, Bubba Richard and Tammy Vincent
The following members were absent: Michelle Trahan
The following guests were in attendance: Asst. District Attorney – Chelsea Champagne, K&M Project Services – Mitch Thomas, and Tammy Peshoff
It was moved by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Tammy Vincent, and carried, that the minutes from the previous meetings are hereby approved.
It was moved by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Bubba Richard, and carried, that the financial statements are approved for Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 1, Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 7 and Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 9.
It was moved by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Tammy Vincent, and carried, to pay monthly bills for Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 7 and Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 9.
It was moved by Bubba Richard, seconded by Vickie Kiffe, and carried, to accept the bid from Lemoine pending OCD-LGA staff approval for water treatment and distribution improvements project pending changes including but not limited to remove line items listed below to put the South Cameron Consolidated Waterworks District No. 1 cost within budget.
4- Distribution Line Marshall Street (LA-Hwy 27/82)
5- Distribution Line Trosclair Road (Parish Road 357)
7- Distribution Line Jimmy Savoie (Parish Road 343)
8- Distribution Line Beach Road (LA-Hwy 1142)
9- Distribution Line Issac Street (Parish Road 3110)
It was moved by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Bubba Richard, and carried, to accept the bid from Alfred Palma, LLC pending OCD-LGA staff approval for ground storage tank project.
It was moved by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Tammy Vincent, and carried, to adopt employee policy and agreed upon procedures with the exception of changes for the on-call employee to receive 4 hours of standby time.
It was moved by Bubba Richard, seconded by Tammy Vincent, and carried, to accept the quote from J&S Metals in the amount of $36,400 for the repairs of the waterworks maintenance storage building (Grand Chenier).
There being no further business, on the motion of Bubba Richard, seconded by Vickie Kiffe and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
