A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Hackberry Recreation District was held at the Hackberry Recreation Center in Hackberry, Cameron Parish, Louisiana, on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
Members Present: Terry J. Murphy, Travis LaBove, Bethany Moore, and Travis Welch.
Member Absent: Desiree Boykin.
Guests: None
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Travis Welch and the following business was discussed.
Motion was made by Travis LaBove, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to accept the regular meeting minutes as read.
Motion was made by Travis LaBove, seconded by Bethany Moore, and carried to accept the financial statements.
Motion was made by Bethany Moore, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to elect Desiree Boykin as Chairman of the Board for 2024.
Motion was made by Travis LaBove, seconded by Bethany Moore, and carried to elect Terry J. Murphy as Vice-Chairman of the Board for 2024.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Bethany Moore, and carried to amend the 2023 General Fund Budget.
1. Increase Capital Outlay to $1,500,000.00.
2. Increase repairs to $150,000.00.
3. Increase insurance to $70,000.00.
Motion was made by Travis LaBove, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to amend the 2023 HRD Multi-Purpose Fund Budget.
1. Increase Insurance $40,000.00
2. Increase repairs $30,000.00.
Motion was made by Bethany Moore, seconded by Travis LaBove, and carried to adopt the 2024 Budget for the General Fund.
Motion was made by Travis LaBove, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to adopt the 2024 Budget for the HRD Multi-Purpose Facility.
Motion was made by Travis LaBove, seconded by Bethany Moore, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
