STATE OF LOUISIANA
PARISH OF CAMERON
Pursuant to its Resolution adopted and published notices of an election in Cameron Parish, the Cameron Parish Police Jury being the governing agent, did meet in regular session on the 6th day of December, 2023 at the Police Jury West Annex in the village of Cameron, Louisiana to promulgate the results of the election held on November 18, 2023 in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
PRESENT: Joe Dupont, Curtis Fountain, Magnus McGee, McKinley Guidry, Lawrence Faulk, Scott Trahan, and Thomas McDaniel
ABSENT: Kirk Quinn
It was moved by Scott Trahan, seconded by Thomas McDaniel, and duly carried that the returns be examined and canvassed and the results announced.
It was moved by Scott Trahan, seconded by Thomas McDaniel, and duly carried that a Proces Verbal be made of these proceedings and that a certified copy of same be published to give public notice of the results of the election regarding Renewal Proposition No. 1, Renewal Proposition No. 2, and Renewal Proposition No. 3.

POLICE JURY
BE IT KNOWN that the Cameron Parish Police Jury convened in regular session in the Cameron Parish Police Jury Annex in the village of Cameron, Louisiana, as advertised in the election notice of an election in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
PRESENT: Joe Dupont, Curtis Fountain, Magnus McGee, McKinley Guidry, Lawrence Faulk, Scott Trahan, and Thomas McDaniel
ABSENT: Kirk Quinn
The said Cameron Parish Police Jury in the presence of the undersigned witnesses, and members of the public present, did proceed to examine and canvass the returns and declare the results of said election, upon the following propositions and submitted thereat:
RENEWAL
PROPOSITION No. 1
Shall the Parish of Cameron, State of Louisiana (the “Parish”), be authorized to levy a tax of two and sixty-four hundredths (2.64) mills on the dollar of assessed valuation on all property subject to taxation in said Parish (an estimated $1,209,705.28 is reasonably expected to be collected from the levy of this tax per annum), for a period of ten (10) years commencing with the year 2024, for the purpose of maintaining and operating the Cameron Parish Courthouse and Jail?
RENEWAL
PROPOSITION No. 2
Shall the Parish of Cameron, be authorized to levy a tax of one and thirty-two hundredths (1.32) mills on the dollar of assessed valuation on all property subject to taxation in said Parish (an estimated $604,852.64 is reasonably expected to be collected from the levy of this tax per annum), for a period of ten (10) years, commencing with the year 2024, for the purpose of supporting the Health Center in Cameron Parish, Louisiana title to which shall be in the Public?
RENEWAL
PROPOSITION No. 3
Shall Consolidated Garbage District No. One of the Parish of Cameron, Louisiana, be authorized to renew a levied tax of seven and eighty-six hundredths (7.86) mills on the dollar of assessed valuation on all property subject to taxation in said District, for a period of ten (10) years, commencing with the year 2025 and ending with the year 2034, with collections from the levy of the tax estimated to be $3,601,622.55 for one entire year, for the purpose of providing and maintaining garbage collection and disposal services in said District?
After such examination, it was found that the total of said election on the Renewal Proposition No. 1 was 1,412 votes in number.

After such examination, it was found that the total of said election on the Renewal Proposition No. 2 was 1,418 votes in number.

After such examination, it was found that the total of said election on the Renewal Proposition No. 3 was 1,423 votes in number.
1,065 Votes FOR Proposition No. 3
358 Votes AGAINST Proposition No.3
It appears that said Renewal Proposition No. 1 had carried by a majority in the number of votes cast at said election, the said Cameron Parish Police Jury did publicly announce and proclaim and does hereby proclaim that the aforesaid Renewal Proposition No. 1 was duly carried for said purposes and said period duly authorized in the form and manner provided by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Louisiana.
It appears that said Renewal Proposition No. 2 had carried by a majority in the number of votes cast at said election, the said Cameron Parish Police Jury did publicly announce and proclaim and does hereby proclaim that the aforesaid Renewal Proposition No. 2 was duly carried for said purposes and said period duly authorized in the form and manner provided by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Louisiana.
It appears that said Renewal Proposition No. 3 had carried by a majority in the number of votes cast at said election, the said Cameron Parish Police Jury did publicly announce and proclaim and does hereby proclaim that the aforesaid Renewal Proposition No. 3 was duly carried for said purposes and said period duly authorized in the form and manner provided by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Louisiana.
THUS DONE AND SIGNED in the presence of the witnesses who sign hereto, as well as in the presence of the members of the said Cameron Parish Police Jury after causing the tabulation to be filed in the archives of its office in the village of Cameron, Louisiana, this 6th day of December 2023.
