?PROCEEDINGS
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou on November 14, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. Members present by roll call were Mark Young, Connie Trahan, Kent Carlson, and Nathan Griffith. Members absent were Bobbie Trahan. Employees attending were Rhonda Morrison, Carl Trahan, Jeffrey Landry, and Aaron Jinks.
It was moved by Nathan Griffith to call the meeting to order.
The pledge was said by all present and the prayer was led by Nathan Griffith.
A Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was given.
It was moved by Mark Young, seconded by Kent Carlson and carried to accept October minutes as read.
The Sabine Pass LNG distribution line extension project was discussed. La. Dept. of Health has approved the permit application. We are still awaiting approval from DOTD.
Updates were given on the development of the new property. DOTD and OCM/Corps joint permit applications have been submitted. K & M Project Services will continue to research means to prevent erosion on the east side of the property.
An update was given on the pressure/flow study from Hackberry treatment site to the Holly Beach site with Fenstermaker representative Matt Strickland via telephone. The Board will review the documentation received.
It was moved by Mark Young to adopt ACT 393, which is a policy added to the Open Meeting Laws in the 2023 Regular Session, for accommodating members of the public and members of the board who have a disability recognized by the ADA or their caretakers. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
It was moved by Mark Young to approve the quote of $100.00 per inspection from A2Z Water Services for the customers LDH required annual backflow test in January. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Kent Carlson and carried.
Rhonda presented the PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) sampling results to the Board. Results were all below the reporting limit.
It was moved by Connie Trahan, seconded by Mark Young, and carried to approve the bank statements and the Actual vs. Budget report for the month ending October 2023.
It was moved by Kent Carlson, seconded by Connie Trahan and carried to approve the bills as paid.
