Board of Commissioners of the
Hackberry Recreation District
December 19, 2022
A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Hackberry Recreation District was held at the Hackberry Recreation Center in Hackberry, Cameron Parish, Louisiana, on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.
Members Present: Travis LaBove, Bethany Moore, Terry J. Murphy, Desiree Boykin, and Travis Welch.
Members Absent: None.
Guests: None.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Travis LaBove and the following business was discussed.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Bethany Moore, and carried to accept the regular meeting minutes as read.
Motion was made by Travis Welch, seconded by Desiree Boykin, and carried to accept the financial statements.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Desiree Boykin, and carried to elect Travis Welch as Chairman of the Board for 2023.
Motion was made by Travis Welch, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to elect Desiree Boykin as Vice-Chairman of the Board for 2023.
Motion was made by Travis Welch, seconded by Bethany Moore, and carried to amend the 2022 Budget for the HRD Multi-Purpose Facility.
1. Increase Insurance to $70,000.00
2. Increase Repairs $30,000.00
3. Increase Utilities $10,000.00
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Desiree Boykin, and carried to adopt the 2023 Budget for the General Fund.
Motion was made by Bethany Moore, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to adopt the 2023 Budget for the HRD Multi-Purpose Facility.
Motion was made by Travis Welch, seconded by Desiree Boykin, and carried to change Maintenance person payroll to 75% Recreation District and 25% HRD Multi-Purpose Facility effective January 1, 2023.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Desiree Boykin, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
