PROCEEDINGS
February 09, 2022
There was a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Water District No. 2 at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 09, 2022, at the Hackberry Waterworks office.
PRESENT: Mr. Michael Fewell, Mr. Donald Buford, Mr. Brad Hinton, Mr. Mike Welch
Absent: Mr. Mark Trahan
Employees present: Mr. Glenn Welch and Mrs. Shaun Kyle
The meeting was called to order by Board President Michael Fewell who also led the pledge and prayer.
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comments were made.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and carried unanimously, the minutes from the January 12th and February 2nd, 2022 meetings were approved.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and carried unanimously, the Board elected to hire a new full time water operator at $20.00 per hour.
On motion of Donald Buford, seconded by Mike Welch and carried unanimously, the Board elected to hire Dalton Nunez as water operator.
On motion of Mike Welch, seconded by Donald Buford and carried unanimously, the Board elected to award pay increases of $1.00 to Shaun Kyle and 3% to Glenn Welch.
Monthly Operator updates were presented by Glenn Welch. The fire hydrant was removed form 555 Lakebreeze Rd., the contractor has started painting all piping at both wellsites, and the bushes were removed around the water tower fencing.
The Financial Report for the month ending January 31, 2022 and updates were presented by Shaun Kyle.
On motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford and carried unanimously, all bills were approved for payment.
Our next meeting will be Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
There being no further business, on motion of Brad Hinton, seconded by Donald Buford, and carried unanimously, the meeting was declared adjourned.
