Donald Rogers

Donald “Donnie” Paul Rogers, 65, of Lake Charles passed away on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021. He was born Sept. 5, 1955.

His lifetime passion was working cattle and hunting in Johnson Bayou. He graduated from LaGrange High School and worked at City Service as a machinist, then finished his career at W.R. Grace.

Preceding Donnie in death was his father, Curley Rogers; and two nephews, Tyler and Justin.

Donnie will be greatly missed by his wife, Reina; twin sons, Aaron and Ariel; his mother, Frances Rogers; three brothers, T-Bob (Peggy), Mike (Chantell), and C.J. (Mickie) Rogers and Aunt Carita; several uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins. His three dogs were his inspiration and the love of his daily life, Rogu, Gravy Buster and T-Mutt.

Visitation for family will be Thursday, Aug. 26, from 4-5 p.m.; after 5 p.m. for the public. The Rosary will be at 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 27, and the Funeral will be at 2 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles.
