The Minutes from the March meeting was approved. A motion was made by Ryan Mallory seconded by Cecil Clark all were in favor.
The financial report for March was approved. A motion was made by Ryan Mallory seconded by Cecil Clark, all were in favor.
The bills for March were approved. A motion was made by Ceil Clark seconded by Ryan Mallory, all were in favor.
Deep South Exp
Rusty Welch reported to the board, WHC took responsibility for repairing the North Protection Levee. 18 culverts are cleaned and cleared of any storm debris. The Police Jury will start cleaning W1 West within the month. When they are finished with W1 West if the agreement stays the same they will also clean the Red Man and Bolo laterals. Rusty has also talked to Venture Global about crossing their property to clean the Redman lateral. A motion was made Ryan Mallory it was seconded by Cecil Clark to have Rusty get permission from landowners for the cleaning of the laterals. All were in favor.
Rusty reported to the board all engines and awnings were removed from the pump stations. He will get damage assessments for the pumps as soon as they are available.
The board discussed the mileages, they will keep it at 7.5. A motion was made by Shirley Gray seconded by Cecil Clark. All were in favor.
Scott Henry discussed replacing the bridge that burned. The board had previously discussed doing these repairs but was never done. The parish will be in the area cleaning laterals, so the equipment will already be there. The board asked Rusty Welch to contact Marshland Equipment to see if the bid they had given us would still be the same or if they would need to give us a new one.
The board will be selling the truck they have. A motion was made by Shirley Gray, seconded by Cecil Clark to have the parish handle the sale of the truck. All were in favor.
A motion was made by Cecil Clark to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Scott Henry, all were in favor.
