Karen Boudreaux

Karen Kay Miller Boudreaux, of Lake Charles, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, in her home.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. She graduated from McNeese University with a Master’s in Education and was a retired teacher of South Cameron High School. She was a very active member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Guidry; son, Timothy Boudreaux; grandsons, Neko and Slade Guidry; brothers-in-law, James Rutherford and Dennis Fletcher, all of Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Murphy Miller of Oak Grove; her father, Edward Warren Miller of Creole; her sisters, Donna Fletcher and Frances Aucoin of Lake Charles, and Judy Rutherford of Creole.

Visitation was held Saturday, Feb. 9, from 5-8 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles and resumed at Trinity Baptist Church on Sunday, Feb. 10 from 1 p.m. until time of service.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Trinity Baptist Church. Rev. Steve James and the Rev. Ray Shawa officiated. Burial followed at Prien Memorial Cemetery.

Nancy LeBouef

Nancy Marie LeBouef, 72, of Moss Bluff, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at her home.

She was an accountant for the majority of her life and was also a secretary for BayRidge Christian College, where she earned her Associates Degree in Accounting.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph LeBouef Sr., four children, Joseph W. LeBouef Jr. and wife Helen of League City, Texas, Jimmy W. LeBouef and wife Jimmie of Ragley, Karan LaLanne and husband Derek of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Gary LeBouef and wife Pauline of Grand Lake; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Cummings; and brother, Thomas Cummings.

She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Marsliette LeBlue Cummings; and one sister.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Bellview Baptist Church in Westlake. Robert L. LeBouef officiated. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.
