Chester Bellard, Sr.

Chester Burton “Big Burt” Bellard Sr., 56, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018.

He was a 1980 graduate of LaGrange High School and was a NACE coating inspector for Natural Energy Field Services.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Bellard of Dry Creek; son, Chester Burton “Lil Burt” Bellard Jr. and wife Kristin of Ragley; siblings, Richard “Ricky” Bellard of Princeton, Tonette Lovett of Haughton, and Becky LaFleur of Big Lake; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Amy Arsement Bellard; and one brother.

Funeral service was held Sunday, Oct. 28, at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home with Pastor David Edigo officiating. Burial followed in Dry Creek Cemetery.

Ethel LeBleu

Ethel H. LeBleu, 83, of Lake Charles, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at her residence. She was born in Grand Lake.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Gene LeBleu Sr. and fiancé, Vicki Elam, of Lake Charles; daughter, Angela King and husband, Matthew, of Lake Charles; six grandchildren; along with seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis LeBleu; her parents, Wilson and Lillian Holland; one brother; and six sisters.

Services were held Saturday, Oct. 27, at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles with Pastor Matthew King officiating. Burial followed at Highland Memory Gardens.

Rita Badon

Rita Mae Badon, 84, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018.

She was a lifelong resident of Johnson Bayou, moving to Carlyss after Hurricane Rita in 2005. Rita and her late husband, “Blue” Badon owned M. H. “Blue” Badon Construction until his passing in 1972, she continued to run the business until 1974. Rita managed Lagneaux’s Grocery Store in Holly Beach for many years.

She is survived by her children, Marilyn Trahan (Malcolm) and Martin Fredrick Badon, all of Carlyss; brothers, Curby Miller of Mississippi, and John Miller of Ohio; three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Blue Badon; daughter, Cynthia Badon; three brothers; one sister; and parents, John and Amerite Miller.

Her funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 27, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Luke Krzanowski, M.S. officiated. Burial followed at Mimosa Pines Cemetery of Carlyss.
